What did the FCA say Concept Capital Group did?

The FCA alleges that Concept Capital Group ran an unauthorised collective investment scheme. On 29 July 2025 the FCA announced High Court proceedings under the headline "FCA acts over alleged £23 million unauthorised collective investment scheme". The FCA describes investments in static homes "said to be let to social housing tenants placed by local councils", and states that investors were promised fixed returns. In its update of 12 March 2026, the FCA states: "CCG collected approximately £23m from investors." The rate, term, minimum investment and number of investors have not been published. The FCA's proceedings also named Riverrun Consulting Limited and Gateridge Consulting Limited. What does administration mean for investors?

Administration means a licensed insolvency practitioner has taken control of the company in place of its directors. The administrators manage the company's affairs, assets and creditor claims, and act in the interests of creditors as a whole. The legal framework is Schedule B1 of the Insolvency Act 1986. The FCA states that its proceedings against the company are on hold since the administration began.

What an investor receives depends on the assets available, the claims made and the order in which claims are paid. The public record does not show what any individual investor will receive.

Who are the administrators, and where do they report?

The joint administrators are from BTG Begbies Traynor (Central) LLP, appointed on 9 March 2026 (Gazette notice 5094275). Administrators file proposals, which set out what they found and what they plan to do, and then progress reports at regular intervals. Both are filed at Companies House. The proposals for Concept Capital Group were filed on 13 May 2026 and are in the filing history.
