What did the FCA publish about Moneda Capital PLC?

The FCA published a warning and then an investigation statement, on consecutive days. 14 October 2025: a warning. The FCA added Moneda Capital PLC, Moneda Capital Asset Management Ltd, MCAM Ltd and VSD Capital Ltd to its Warning List, stating that the firm is not authorised by it. 15 October 2025: an investigation. The FCA announced that it had opened an investigation into the Moneda Capital Group and a number of people associated with its companies. It gave a helpline for investors: 0800 111 6768. The amount raised from investors and the number of investors have not been published.

What does "dissolved by compulsory strike-off" mean?

It means Companies House removed the company from the register without a formal insolvency process. A dissolved company no longer exists as a legal entity. The filing history records the dissolution on 16 June 2026. Because no insolvency case was opened, there is no administrator or liquidator, and no office holder's report to check.

What has been reported about the bonds?

Press outlets have reported that Moneda Capital offered fixed rate return bonds. This section is reported. It is not confirmed by an official source.

International Adviser reported on 16 October 2025 that the company website promised returns "from 7% as a headline". Financial Planning Today reported on the same day that Moneda promised fixed returns of up to 7.25% a year. International Adviser also quotes the company website: "A full asset restraint order took effect on 2 September 2025." This is the company's own statement. It does not appear in the FCA warning of 14 October 2025 or the FCA statement of 15 October 2025.

What do the filings show about share capital?

A filing of 10 January 2025 shows the company's share capital stood at £1,500,000 after an allotment. A second filing gives the allotment date as 15 December 2024. Share capital is not the same as money raised from bond investors, which has not been published.

Which other Moneda companies are named?

The FCA warning names three other companies alongside Moneda Capital PLC. Each is a separate company. Moneda Capital Asset Management Ltd (15627073) MCAM Ltd (04344290) VSD Capital Limited (14178892) All three are active, with an active proposal to strike off. Check the company name and number on your own paperwork before relying on any record.

Can a dissolved company be restored to the register?

In some cases, yes. GOV.UK guidance on restoring a company explains the routes, and in some cases the court decides. This is information only. It does not mean a restoration is likely or planned.

What has been reported, and what is confirmed?

Reported (press): fixed returns of up to 7.25% a year (Financial Planning Today); returns "from 7% as a headline" (International Adviser). What the company says: a full asset restraint order took effect on 2 September 2025 (company website, quoted by International Adviser). Confirmed (official sources): not authorised by the FCA (FCA Warning List); FCA investigation into the Moneda Capital Group (FCA statement); dissolved 16 June 2026 with no insolvency case (Companies House).

Dissolution is a legal status. It is not a finding of wrongdoing.

What happens next?

There is no insolvency process, so no office holder will report to creditors. Any further statement on the investigation would come from the FCA. The timing of any update cannot be predicted from the public record.

What can you do now?

1. Find your company. Check your agreement and note which company and company number it names. 2. Gather your papers. Keep your bond agreement, proof of payment, emails and statements together. 3. Contact the FCA on its helpline, 0800 111 6768, given in its statement of 15 October 2025. 4. Be careful with offers of help.
